Dr. Dean Zimmer, DMD

Dean has been a part of Queen City Dental for two decades. His love for people and general health led him to fulfill his dreams of practicing dentistry full-time in his hometown, Regina, Saskatchewan. Dean loves to hike, play golf, volunteer, travel and collect art. But his real true love is spending time with his wonderful family – Katherine, Liam, Gavin, and Lily.

“My best advice is to brush your teeth at least once at night for 2 minutes. And yes, flossing is probably more important than brushing”

Eric Knouse

Dr. Eric Knouse, DMD

Dr. Knouse has been with Queen City Dental since 2011 and finds the best part of his job is getting to meet so many great people and helping them find the best solution to their dental-related problems. Dr. Knouse’s hobbies include golf, travelling, curling and spending time with his family.

Dr. Knouse keeps busy on his days off with his three daughters and wife Brittany increasing his knowledge of Disney characters! Saskatchewan summers are his best time of the year as he enjoys spending time outside at the lake on a boat or at the golf course!

Dr. Alyssa Freitas, DMD

Alyssa is a recent graduate from the University of Saskatchewan. She is excited to join the Queen City Dental team and provide patient centered care. Alyssa grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan where she practiced dance, played soccer and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Regina. While attending the University of Regina, one of the most memorable experiences Alyssa had was volunteering with Special Olympics Saskatchewan. Alyssa loves cooking, travelling, and spending time with her family, which includes her fur babies.

Susan, Dental Hygienist

Susan is a veteran of Queen City Dental having worked at the clinic since 1999. She’s a hard worker who enjoys her co-workers and employer. However, her patients are her favourite part of the job and she cares for them like family. When not working, Susan enjoys volleyball, the UFC, horses, and travel.

Diana Palmarin

Diana, Dental Hygienist

Diana has been a Dental Hygienist since 2009 and with Queen City since 2015. She enjoys her work because it gives her the ability to treat clients based on individual needs and by giving them the best care possible.

Diana also enjoys spending time with her three daughters, cake decorating and spending time with her family and friends.

“Always take some time out each day for yourself. It’s important to do that in order to be happy!”

Jenna Haley

Jenna, Dental Hygienist

Jenna has been a Dental Hygienist for over 10 years and loves meeting new patients. Every patient is different and so are their treatments, so work isn’t boring. Jenna loves spending time outdoors and spends the winter months at the rink with her two sons watching hockey.

“I love helping people and that’s what makes each day so special.”

Brooke, Dental Hygienist

Brooke has been a Dental Hygienist for over 14 years and has been with Queen City Dental since 2019.  She enjoys working alongside people who are passionate about dentistry. Brooke loves working in her yard,  gardening and camping in the summer with family and friends.

“What I like most about my job is talking to patients about their oral health and answering any questions or concerns that they have.”

Marlene-Grebinski

Marlene, Dental Hygienist

Marlene is another veteran of Queen City Dental, with over 23 years experience, and she is a true asset to the team.

The friendly staff, great employers and wonderful patients makes each day at the office special for her. She encourages dental heath but also general health and wellness to all her patients. Marlene is an avid runner, skier and church volunteer.

Shaelyn, Receptionist

Shaelyn has been with Queen City Dental since 2013 and has been a Dental Hygienist since 2003.

She is thrilled to be a part of a growing team and enjoys her co-workers and family-oriented work environment immensely. In her off time, Shaelyn enjoys working out, travelling and baking.

“I encourage everyone to get regular checkups and cleanings, brush twice a day, floss and rinse!”

Tanya, Receptionist

Tanya has a small cattle ranch outside of Regina and is an avid horse woman. She has two adult children and enjoys spending time with her 4 miniature Australian Shepherds. Tanya has been with Queen City Dental since 2018 and loves her career.

Brenda is a gem and has been at Queen City Dental for almost 30 years! She credits her long career to an excellent and respectful work environment, wonderful dentist, co-workers and patients whom she considers friends. Brenda loves enjoying the outdoors with her family and working in her yard.

Casey, Dental Assistant

Casey has been with Queen City Dental since 2012. As a Dental Assistant, Casey says the best part about her job is the fun and easy atmosphere inside the office. Casey has a creative spark and in her spare time enjoys taking care of plants, designing clothing and housewares. Casey also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two boys going hiking camping and paddle boarding.

Brittany Wilton

Brittany, Dental Assistant

Brittany has been a Dental Assistant for almost a decade. The best part of her job is working with “our amazing staff and bosses!”.

Brittany keeps busy playing sports like volleyball, baseball and hockey. She also enjoys baking, camping and hiking. Her love for the outdoors keeps her very busy. Whether it’s taking her dog to the Wascana Trails or digging in the garden with her son, she’s always enjoying the fresh air!

Brookyn Weeres

Brooklyn, Dental Assistant

Brooklyn has been with Queen City Dental since 2018 and enjoys seeing patient’s smiles transform! Born and raised in Regina, Brooklyn was afraid of Dentists growing up. It was only until she was a small child coming to have her teeth treated by Dr. Zimmer that she came to realize that she had nothing to be afraid of, “Dr. Zimmer was amazing, and the staff completely changed the way I viewed going to the dentist.” Now years later, she is working at the clinic and absolutely loving it!

“It doesn’t feel like a job when your co-workers become your second family. I love what I do and where I work!”

Makayla, Dental Assistant

Makayla grew up in Lumsden, SK and has been a Dental Assistant with Queen City Dental since 2020. Makayla enjoys being active by taking up activities like surfing and snowboarding. In her spare time, she also enjoys cooking.

“What I love most about my job is seeing people smile with confidence!”

Robin, Receptionist / Accounts & Recalls

Robin has been with Queen City Dental since 2009 and enjoys working with an amazing team of people and having Dentists that provide the highest level of care and compassion to their patients.

Having been in the dental profession for over 23 years, Robin enjoys her work a great deal and is an integral part of the Northgate Dental team. Robin is married and has two boys. She enjoys card marking, camping and curling on her days off.

Amy, Receptionist

Amy has been an Administrative Assistant for over 9-years! In her spare time, she loves hosting BBQ’s and being with her friends and family. A mother of one son and wife to her husband Jay, Amy enjoys life in a small town. She lives in Cupar, Saskatchewan with her family and dog Browning.

Courtney, Dental Assistant

Courtney has been with Queen City Dental for almost 2 years. She enjoys photography, paddle boarding and fishing. In her spare time, she loves to spend time outdoors, eat spicey food and trying out new restaurants. She also has a cat named “Minnow” after her love of fishing.

“I work with some of the best dentists and my co-workers have become my closest friends.”

Dominick, Dental Hygienist

Dominick has been with Queen City Dental since September 2021. He immigrated to Canada from Poland when he was 14 with his parents. A graduate of Saskatchewan Polytechnical Institute and the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries, Dominick enjoys riding motorcycles, camping and travelling.

Tamelle, Dental Assistant

Tamelle has been a Dental Assistant for over 10-years. Originally from Lumsden, Saskatchewan, she enjoys camping with her three boys, playing sports and being outdoors.
